Meet Emory
Emory Hackman is a third generation Virginia lawyer. With over 30 years of legal experience in the general practice of law, he has refined his seasoned practice to specialize in business matters and estate planning, estate administration, and wealth preservation and protection, especially for real estate investments.
Focus and perspective are two of Emory's significant qualities, which he undoubtedly honed during his early education and military service. Emory obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Forestry, and went on to military service in Panama and Vietnam as a Captain in the U.S. Army. He qualified as Ranger, Airborne, Jumpmaster, taught at the Jungle Warfare School, and became a Distinguished Graduate in Aerial Photogrammetry.
As a civilian, Emory has been a corporate executive recruiter, and a managing co-owner of several businesses. His first securities offering became the very successful IPO, Keystone Medical, which was acclaimed a short time later by Forbes Magazine for having the then highest ratio of share trading price to book value. Emory also helped a client spawn a subsidiary providing services to a very young AOL, which became AOL’s biggest revenue generator in its early years.
Emory is a frequent public and professional speaker on business motivation and development, estate planning, asset protection, legal ethics, and related subjects.
